week 9

what a week for baby andrew! this last week, on top of having his grand-mother mercedes come down from quebec to visit, he decided to leave for arizona to see what's up over there. he had the chance to meet with most of his grandpa steve's family and also he spent some time at the burkhardts, thus meeting grammy kim's relatives. the total trip was 5 days. andrew has now been in three states, should we say four because he drove through nevada to get to california last month. andrew is now salivating and produced his first tears during the trip to arizona. he has been on a plane and did remarkably well (arizona trip)! his aunt misty bought him his first swim suit... he's ready for the summer! he has been sleeping through the night for just about one week now, without missing a day. his mother is training him very well. we feature him this week on his trip to arizona, with his grandfather steve.

week 10

since andrew is getting bigger now, he had to receive his immunization shots... and the painful experience was today, on his tenth week anniversary. we do not have pictures of the sad moment, though we wanted to make mention of it. he was very strong, even though the excruciating pain made him cry. his mother was just as sad for andrew didn't understand where the pain was coming from. all he could see was a (mean to him) nurse, and four two-inch long needles. when he came home, he was sleeping, and when he woke up, he realized, he was in heaven when his mom gave him yummy, sweet, grape ibuprofein for babies. he loved the liquid advil. the picture we feature this week is during last week-end at roy's place for general conference. since we had to return our camera for some repairs, we are out of a camera and our picture bank is hurting. but enjoy this one!

week 11

andrew is getting older, and cuter. we are very proud of him. he now has an established schedule, proved that he can sleep all through the night (as not missed once, even when we bothered his schedule a little bit). he has learned to calm himself down when he becomes fussy, without having somebody pick him up all the time. we went to an animal anniversary celebration at thanksgiving point this last week. he was in the presence of baby pigs and lambs. he sucks on his fingers all the time, and even has some callises. he is aware of objects in front of him, and wants to grab them. he also attended the blessing of his friend mason braithwaite. we are still without our camera. the picture we have this week is a lesser quality picture with a lippy... still adorable...

week 12

the novelty of the week is probably that andrew has started to suck on his lower lip as a way to soothe himself! we think this is fairly cute and thought we'd mention it! andrew will be three months this week. he will pass this mark this coming monday. we had to go to the doctor's today. we were worried about andrew's left eye. after waking up from a long nap, we noticed that his left eye is covered with yellow goop. the doctor says that it is probably not something to worry about right now. it is most likely his tear duct that is not draining properly, and this anomaly will get better as he grows older. andrew woke up during the night for the first time in a long while this last week. We attribute that to a possible growth spurt.
